A few months ago my tennis elbow started to flare up again. I have gone to physical therapy for ultrasound treatments in the past and they worked. I'm not in a position right now to go to physical therapy, so thought I would just have to ride it out until I could get there.

I would very much like to write a review for your wraps since they have been such a help to me. I am an avid tennis player that has this year suffered from both elbow and achilles tendonitis. For years I've been the best in my club but once my tendonitis set in I just couldn't compete.

Dear MendMeShop,

I am a Registered Nurse who works straight night shifts and I have had chronic neck, bilateral shoulder and arm pain intermittently for 3 years. I have seen a chiropractor, a neurologist, and physical therapist. I have tingling and numbness in my arms and hands, especially when I push on the pressure points near my elbows. Dear MendMeShop,

I used my ultrasound for three weeks 3x's a day for 5 minutes each interval. I have tendenitis in my elbow and it really feels like it is healed.

My job requires a lot of lifting and being off for a while has probably helped my healing and treatment. I hope my elbow doesn't flair up after going back to work. If in fact it does return I will return to the therapy with my ultrasound. I think I will start using it on my heals as I have plantar fasciitis and am on my feet constantly at work.

Elbow Injury Facts:

Epicondylitis is inflammation or damage to the area of an epicondyle of bone such as the elbow.

Tennis Elbow is the most common overuse injury of the elbow.

Overuse injuries of the elbow are commonly associated with athletes however, overuse injuries are most common in occupational areas.

Elbow injuries can be secondary to an injury elsewhere in the body. The elbow injury may be caused by the body compensating for an injury to the neck, shoulder or wrist.

Oral Medications can mask the pain but do not aid in the healing of epicondylitis.

Symptoms of epicondylitis include pain, swelling, bruising and tenderness. Other symptoms may also include hand numbness or hand weakness.

Ice and compression are the easiest and most effective treatments for pain relief in epicondylitis sufferers.

Only 5% of people diagnosed with Tennis Elbow actually play tennis.

Ultrasound therapy can speed the recovery of epicondylitis significantly.
